Our History
Nanyang Wushu Federation Of Sarawak was formerly known as Nanyang Pugilistic Arts And Physical Culture Association was established on 30 July 1974. With the change of its name into a 'Federation' in 1996, the status of this organization was upgraded to a state body by the approval of the Registrar of Societies, Malaysia.
It was initiated by a group of prominent commercial executive and young government officers who felt that there is a necessity to provide an outlet for the attainment of a healthy body and mind, thus contributing to the well-being of he society. It is a voluntary and non-profit making organization which depends entirely on donations, member's monthly subscriptions and training fees to carry on its activities.
The objectives of this Federation are as follows:

To promote and advance physical culture and Wushu

To participate in official contests for the purpose in gaining proficiency in Wushu .

To promote and cultivate goodwill and friendships among members.

To promote the welfare of the members and the social development of the community.
To achieve the above objectives, the Federation offers training on Wushu incorporating with Chingay, Multi cultural drums, The Thunder Beats of 12 Drums, Appearance of God Of Wealth, Flag Dance, Lion, Dragon, Fish and Unicorn dances to members of the public from all walks of life, irrespective of sex, race, age and religion.
The Federation also renders the above cultural performances as services to the community for occasions such as festival celebrations, opening ceremonies, annual dinners, launching ceremonies, birthdays celebrations, anniversaries, house-warming e.t.c.
The Nanyang Wushu Federation of Sarawak with the enthusiasm and zeal of its President, Dato Chew Chiaw Ann and State Chairman cum Instructor-in-Chief, Grandmaster Prof. Dato Sri Dr. Song Swee Hee and several voluntary Instructors is fast-expanding and evolving with time.
